I recently started lighting a candle for r'menachem mendel m'rimonv.

I light the candle every morning. what do I do for shabbos?

do I light the candle before I bentch licht (for my "shabbos day candle)?

and then I can just continue to light on sunday morning as usual, correct? no need to light one after shabbos.. am I right?

It goes by the Jewish date.
Make sure you light a candle for each Hebrew date. As the date changes shortly after you light your shabbos candles and will still be lit at night (the new date) it’s fine to light right before shabbos. I did this and did see a yeshua. (I always lit at night. Once I forgot and lit in the morning but it was still the same Hebrew date.)
