NOT located in Brooklyn.
Kind of desperate. Need to lose probably 80 pounds. I did it in the past but it was through a lot of dietary restraint and significant exercise. I am not able to do it now without help.
A nutritionist on my insurance gave me a meal plan but I found it a bit too restrictive plus there were so many non kosher items in the meal plan and I find it very annoying and a guessing game to have to make so many substitutions.

I’d also love to hear exactly how to do this and what the results were for someone who tried it. Did she gain back everything once she stopped it?

I don't know if intermittent fasting would be best option for me. Don't know much about it but would love for others to weigh in on any other methods that have worked for you and that will be accessible to me.

Intermittent fasting vs weight watchers
intermittent fasting. Lost 1 lb a week for a while. Then stopped losing. Couldn’t lose more. Ate about 6 hours a day. Drank a lot otherwise.
Weight watchers. Lost weight faster. Was never hungry. Felt great. Had tons of food options
For both programs when I stopped I gained back pretty quickly everything.
I’m starting dieting again and choosing weight watchers.
I also feel it sets a better example for my kids of healthier eating and food choices.
I do the purple plan and there is tons of foods I can eat as much as I want. I never feel hungry or limited. I do it all on the mobile app.

I tried the fast metabolisim diet and I got so nauseous from it. Something about the combination of food.
Can you post what you eat?

On which phase?
You realize that you're eating different foods in all of the three phases.
Which food combinations nauseated you?

The first two days, when I was eating whole grains.
It was just so bland, and couldn’t stomach eating oatmeal and brown rice in such large amounts.
After two days all I wanted to do was vomit....

Why don't you make your nutritionist aware of your dietary restrictions? Ask her to provide kosher substitutes -- I would think that part of her job is to be able to work with people with dietary restrictions (gluten-free, kosher, halal, vegan, etc).

I'm seeing a frum registered dietician through my insurance. I've actually been doing it remotely through zoom recently. No non kosher items in the food plan. Shabbos food is part of the diet.

Breakfast I eat the Toasted bread with fruit.
Lunch I eat the grain with the vegetables and protein. Not with something on it.
