Building a custom home in Lakewood

Hi Ladies,

I own a lot and am considering building a 4K-5k square foot home. Anyone build recently and can share how much the cost was? I’m looking for very middle of the road - not plain, but not overly fancy. Thanks in advance!

I also heard that lumber went up like crazy, so everything is costing more
Just built….I think a 5k square ft house is just over a million. That’s no frills, basic. Decent kitchen. Simple tiles, wood floors, etc.

Numbers are hard to predict since it all depends on so many things you pick, toilets, showers, vanities, hardware, doors, stairs, etc.

Our builder broke it down for us and gave us an itemized list of what things will cost, appliances, Sheetrock, flooring, electric, plumbing, etc. but the estimate was much lower than the actual cost
