My DD is moving to Brooklyn what is the average salary for a 22-year-old working in an entry-level position in an office-related field?

Does she have any credentials?
Is she going to tell them her age?
I mean, do you think she should get a dollar for every year she's been around?!?

From my experience the average starting salary at a frum office would be $20/hr. Less if she has no prior office experience

If she is Chassidish goes to a Chassidish place she can make 10 million dollars.

I learned that on a different thread.

Entry level is $18-$20. $18 is honestly a bit low, but some companies have yearly raises.

It really depends on the office. My office, in NYC, offers college grads approximately 50k a year to work as a paralegal. Also depends on the work being done in that office.

Age doesn't matter. Experience does. But if it's entry level that means no experience is needed and they're going to pay low, they won't care that she's 22 as opposed to 18.

She's just being bitter. It's not actually relevant to the discussion.

I don't care. I'm not coming onto a random thread and kvetching about Chassidish people. It's just annoying when people do that.

It Is true, but you can choose to deny it if it makes you feel better.

This is literally not the thread to be discussing this. I have no skin in this argument, I'm just annoyed that someone feels the need to make this point here. If you have nothing helpful to say to OP, you can leave and start your own thread complaining about Chassidim.

Her age shouldn't be relevant, only degree and prior experience. This also varies greatly regarding whether she wants to work for a small frum outfit in Brooklyn, a large corporate law firm in Manhattan, and anywhere in between.

She should apply to a few places and see which one is offering the most. That's the only way to find out what the going rate is.
If a few ppl on imamother tell you that they make (let's say) $25/h but the offices she wants to work in are only offering $20...it won't help her feel good about her job! Let her find a job and work her way up!!!
Hatzlacha!!!
