Looking for a more out of town, lowkey area/development for young couple in Lakewood. Looking for growing area (growing as in ruchniyus), with lower standards regarding dress and materialism etc. Not somewhere that the girls dress up all fancy to go shopping or that they just go out to eat and drink iced coffee all day while husband learns. Just a regular, simple, frum neighborhood/ development. Please let me know if you have an ideas. Tia

Raintree is the best fit that comes to mind. When I was living there these kinds of young couples would be living in basement apartments so they were mostly spread out all over town. Maybe the yeshiva apartments?

I agree the buildings near the yeshiva seem to have much simpler standards than the developments

Mostly all in 20s and it’s a mix of a crowd. No social pressure.

It’s hard to find young. Most young ppl are moving out of Lakewood.
(I live in such a neighborhood but I’m 40 and the youngest)

I lived there when Dh was in Kollel. My neighbors were a huge mix- yeshivish, a couple chassidish, sephardi, modern. Lots of people originally from out of town. I loved it. Yes, there are a lot of well dressed people but also a lot of down to earth people and some well dressed people who were also down to earth. If you’re comfortable in your own skin, you can live in an area where people are richer than you. Everyone lives in tiny fifty year old houses at the end the of day.
