If you would suggest therapy- what would the therapist do to help the child? This is what I want to know. Please speak from experience only!

Look into SPACE. It's a parent-driven model where the parents work with the therapist to provide a program and structure that helps the child. There are frum clinicians, if that's what you want, and many in general. And most therapists are working on Zoom, so you can do it wherever. It's especially useful for kids who can't/won't go along with therapy or who don't do well on Zoom therapy when that's what's available.
