I need to find some Jewish music that I like (other than Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen  ). I've always liked music with good/meaningful lyrics so Jewish music is hard to me to get into as I don't understand Hebrew. I was hoping you ladies could help me out.
Secular music I like: the men above, celtic, celtic rock, old country, hard rock, folk rock, old punk, 80's, deep manly voices
Music I dislike: dance, hip hop, most pop, women singers, children singers
Jewish music I like: Adi Ran, Chaim David

p.s. I was at a wedding recently where Adi Ran performed. I literally had to walk out in the middle. I found the noise so deafening and the guy doesn't have much of a voice. But I guess if you like Bob Dylan you would like Adi Ran. Different strokes....
I second Motek's suggestions btw. The thing is that if you like Adi Ran it's highly unlikely that you'd like Abie Rottenberg or Nachman Seltzer, for that matter. They are mellow.

I actually only know Adi Ran from Ushpizin (one or two songs). When I went to get his album the store was out of stock.
Minor ARGH. We moved the computer desk last night. I'm too lazy to hook up the speakers to listen to the clips. Tonight - maybe.
