I also add clementine segments.

More often than not, I skip the dressing, as the goat cheese is so rich.

yum it sounds like exactly what I was looking for!

I don't make cheesecake.
I don't serve cheesecake.

I do make a delicious milchic peach cake with a cream topping.

(Anonymous in case I'm excommunicated after admitting to such heresy.)

Haha me too.
Not Anon because I'd be proud to be excommunicated for this.

Any good dairy salad recipes, maybe with goat cheese or fresh mozzarella?

This one is good

Also watermelon, feta and mint salad.

A classic Caprese salad is easy and always a hit.

I don't either like cheesecake, except for the one my husband put together last year. (Literally put together - it was 3 different YouTube videos he watched with recipes combined.) I can't describe what was different about it.

Anon only because of the details about my husband. I'd also be fine with excommunication due to questionable yichus. LOL

My husband loves "baking" he will read a bunch of recipes and then mix them all together and never use a single measuring spoon or cup....

They always have a special taste and texture.

2 milchig meals - one salmon and one turbot. The salmon is w Trader Joe "everything but" sprinkled on it. The turbot is a new recipe w sautéed multicolored grape tomatoes, lemon slices and garlic. Salmon meal will also include a goat cheese and lavender tart (also a new recipe), asparagus, and beet arugula salad. Turbot meal will also include blintzes, a classic salad, and sesame green beans. I bought one tiny "real" cheesecake and will be making individual greek yogurt cheesecakes in a variety of flavors: marble and lemon for sure, probably also Chai tea and either key lime or mocha. Iced coffee with or without ice cream will also be available. Starters still under consideration but I know I am making gazpacho which will also be served at at least one fleishig meal and mushroom soup.

Two fleishig meals - one brisket and one grilled chicken cutlets. With the brisket we will have roasted baby potatoes, also sesame green beans, and some kind of tart crispy salad. For dessert DD is making a pareve coconut mango rice pudding that she saw in a magazine. The chicken cutlets will be an outdoor "picnic" meal so all cold and easy to eat with plastic cutlery: chicken cutlet salad, wild rice salad, brownies, cut up fruit to start.

I find I am serving less at yom tov meals than I used to. We feel less ugh after yom tov and enjoy just as much.

Can you please post the turbot recipe?

No dairy by us, DH doesn't "believe" in it - he says only meat for yom tov Sad

My MIL is bringing cheesecake for kiddush but I don't like her cheesecake. It's more a crumb cake with some cheese filling. Not worth the calories to me - but definitely better for my waistline

We do dairy first night only. Really we eat meat every meal yom tov but bec meat can be too heavy to stay up there is an exception.

Some food ideas I have

Fish
Dairy meal - from kbd2 the salmon primavera. Salmon layered with veggies and breadcrumbs. As a full fillet it’s gorgeous.
Second night teriyaki salmon
Second day - salmon salad with left over fish

Meats:
French roast
Pulled beef pizza
Meat board

Chicken:
Pastrami chicken roll ups
Stuffed capons

Sides:
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Baby potatoes

Dairy:
Quiche
Penne ala vodka (fake it)
Baked eggplant parm
Greek salad
Strawberry soup

Only made cheese buns so far.
Maybe will buy cheesecake. I think it’s cheaper then making.
A low fat Greek yogurt cheesecake.

Do you mean cheese kreplach?

I've heard of these and they sound amazing, but alas it's not our minhag to eat dairy meals. Tell me about them.

We have milky ice cream cornets for 1st course of the 1st night meal, otherwise it's all parev & meaty. No one likes cheesecake here, I make mock cheesecake, the one with pineapple in.

After the ice creams,
Veg soup, kneidlach
Steak, potatoe kugel & marinated veg salad.

1st day meal (invited 2 sisters in law & a niece from sem , so 20 ppl altogether)

Liver pieces, mushrooms in wrap bowls.

Shnitzel with pineapple /pepper sauce, plain for kids, pickled brisket meat roll, potato kugel, roast potatoes, hot veg, marinated veg salad.

Dessert: choc cups, vanilla ice cream, fruit crumble and peanut/marshmallow chews.

2nd night : leftovers! Maybe chicken soup

2nd day, invited out bh!

All meals are obviously with challas, bought dips...
