The first day naaleh opened we didn’t have beds to sleep on or closets so Rabbi Fuhrer went running on his golf cart shlepping mattresses with his white beard flying in the wind... come on who remembers? I wonder if any of u on here are my long lost camp mates!
Haven’t been on grounds since I left camp 10-12 years ago, wish to go back and see what the place looks like

Yes!! I think we got the pool when I was in Heller, I can't believe we were okay with coming out of the lake brown!! I'm not so sure girls today would be...

Best part of sternberg was catching bugs in the lake with a strainer. We got more points for better bugs.
Sadly it’s just not the same camp now

A few of us here are about the same age, once remember a snake wrapping around itself on one of the bamboo poles that a lifeguard and that guy (can't remember his name but Charlie was the son) came and shot it.

I took lifeguard training (then called ALS) and we would have to do our laps on the Heller side- and I was bitten by a fish TWICE!!!
