I feel like these dresses are meant for lanky teenagers who have no figure
The rubber gathered waist is so not flattering
I also feel like I’m carrying an entire roll of fabric with these dresses
Why did they have to make everything one style???

I wear skirts and tops. I’m short and 15 pounds overweight. I don’t look good in dresses. I feel like the skirts and tops help me to hide the weight.

This. Floral flowy maxi/midi skirts with more structured tops. I went from hating the current trend to loving it. Feel gorgeous now.

I find it a huge waste of time. When I'm in a store, I can take 10 things into the dressing room, and see right away if they fit/look good. I can't tell from a picture how it's going to look on me, and if I need to size up or down.
Where in Brooklyn can I go shopping for some that are nicer looking?

marks and Spencer ship worldwide. I am a big fan of their clothes, but no idea if they are trendy or not. They are not really known as a trendy young shop, although they try to reach that demographic with some of their lines. I too just buy what I like.

At the moment the 20% discount brings it below the tax level for Israel. Otherwise it would be a bit expensive.

I love the baggy dresses!! When I was pregnant, I didn’t even buy maternity, I just sized up on my baggy dresses. I haven’t really lost weight after giving birth, so I’m still wearing the same baggy dresses. Perfectly hides my stomach. No one can see my still “pregnant” stomach
Straight/pencil dresses are so much more stressful. I gain 1 pound and nothing fits anymore. And I would size up so it wouldn’t be too tight, but then I’d take it in so it’s not baggy.... 😕

Only buy what you like. Don't limit yourself to what's in stores. If maxis are your thing, find one that flatters you and wear with your favorite top. Some dresses look great cinched with a wide belt for structure.

It's the darts!

These dresses have no darts! If they only had darts I think they would be a lot more flattering for some of us.

I bought one floral dress after trying on about 20. They all made me look pregnant. I finally found one that didn't make me look quite as pregnant, but I still had to take it in even though it was a size XS. I'm normally a medium in dresses.

I am so happy to see there are other ppl hating this years style. My husband keeps telling me to buy something (I'm postpartum and my other clothes looks terrible) and he cant understand why I cant find anything at frum stores. He keeps asking what other women do.
