URGH Google stop hacking my searches!

Did anyone else notice that when you Google something, the first 5 or 6 search results are ads that are not necessarily relevant to what you searched for, and you have to scroll down to find your search?

My DH complained about it last week, but I only saw it on my computer starting this week.

Try Duck Duck Go. I do find s/t I go back to google bc it doesn't find what I want. However it's not tracking you and less politically slanted, I am told.

Go to settings and choose a different search engine bar to be your default.

But Google is still the best search engine by far, and I like syncing my stuff. I just don't know why this started happening! Plus, each time I click on a link, it pops up in a new tab and the original tab I was using pops to some ad. I don't know what happened.
