I think it could be a problem if the coffee house also makes treif food. When I go to Starbucks I buy a tropicana orange juice or water bottle.

The Starbucks near my old office -- which was also the Starbucks featured in The Devil Wears Prada -- used to have a group of bearded/paya-ed, black hatted men learning Talmud and drinking coffee from Starbucks cups a couple of mornings a week.
Note that this would not apply to other coffee shops that serve flavored coffees.

You do you, but the OP asked a question and I'm responding with the reason that I don't drink black coffee from any coffee store.
