Dh kindly bought 6 tubs of butter at pesach time (because we all want it on our matza ). I ended up freezing almost all of it as it wasn't touched.
And now as it comes closer to shavuos I'm thinking to make dairy things. What uses up lots of butter? Any good recipes?
We just bought a second oven for milky, so I'm excited to try it out but I don't know what to make, so would appreciate any suggestions. I know I can make cookies with butter rather than margerine, but that doesn't use up that much.
TIA

Sautéed veggies, especially mushrooms. Caramelized onions. Pastry/pie crusts for quiche (can be frozen if wrapped tightly.)
If you like cornbread, make a honey butter mix (half and half) for a delicious traditional Southern spread.
Really, you can look at any baking recipe where you use oil, and replace it with melted butter. It will taste SO much better!

scones. Serve with whipped cream and jam.
Choc chip cookies with milk choc chips.
brownies
cheesecake base
almost any cake or cookie tastes better with butter.
cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting. Make the buns with butter in the dough.
I hope you are not on a diet.

Brown the butter and then add it to all of your baked goods!

How could I forget Alfredo sauce, browned butter sauce, and cream of _____soups?
You can make peanut brittle that is absolutely delicious. It's not as hard as you think. Use any type of nuts you want, and you can sprinkle chocolate chips on top before the brittle cools off. Spread the melted chocolate with a spatula.
I like to make brittle with pecans, and top it with coarse sea salt. The variations are endless, all you need is the base recipe.

Most milchig recipes use butter but keep it in mind that's its not so healthy to have a lot!!
Maybe leave half in the freezer?
You might have enough until next pesach!!!
Check kosher.com dairy recipe write butter in your search! They have good stuff!

We use butter all year round when making eggs, cornbread, any dairy dessert, etc. I don’t see why you need to use it up now

Just toss it IMHO- better to throw it out than hurt your body with pounds of butter

Now is the perfect time of year to offer some to friends and neighbors if you don’t want to eat all that fat yourselves.
I for one would eat it though. 😁 Baked potatoes with lots of melted butter, mmmm! Sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies, snickerdoodles. Garlic knots.

Please do not eat through six tubs of butter over the course of two days. Not even if you have twenty guests!
