Ever sit and watch your young child as they learn to read? Ever pay attention as they focus on each word, every Nekuda, every syllable?
The intense clarity as they enunciate each syllable slowly sounding out each word.
I only wish that I could Daven with such focused attention and truly give each word the Kavana it beholds.
As I dash through my mumbled Tefilla focused on my next task at hand, I can only beseech of Hashem that he gathers every deliberately uttered word of my precious child and overfill our cups with Bracha, Yeshous, and Besuros Tovos, and accept my innocent child's words as my own Tefilla.

When I was young I resented davening.
I hated being forced to slowly read a bunch of words that had no meaning to me, for long periods of time.
Today when I understand what I am saying I appreciate Tefillah so much more.
I wait for the day when my children will understand and appreciate Tefillah, beacuse I feel it is something that comes with time.

Tefilla is so precious to me! I understand the meaning of every word - I only wish I could carve out a few minutes in my hectic busy day to actually Daven and when I actually do stop for a few minutes that I had the time to slow down and actually pay attention to what I am saying.
