Hi all,
my oldest son is in shidduchim, so I am new at this stuff!
there is one shadchan who set him up with 3 different girls and she really is extra helpful.
Is there such a thing as giving a gift to a shadchan "for trying hard", even if the shidduchim haven't come to fruition yet? or does that sound crazy?
I would love to give her a $50 giftcard. what do you think?
to what kind of store? or what other kind of gift? or will she think I am totally crazy?!

A token of appreciation is always nice. I also sent a devoted shadchan a gift with a nice card. She really appreciated it.

I once readt a shidduch to someone and really tried helping them. Unfortunately my suggestions weren't the right fit for them, and I felt a real let down. I wanted to help, I really gave so much of my time and- nothing.
Then they sent me over something to show their sincere appreciation for my 'efforts'. I dont remember what they gave me, but the gesture meant alot to me, I felt appreciated.
