My son eats oats every day. So would applying an oat beased cream give him an allergy to oats? |
I think so. My daughter ate foods with sunflower oil and didn't react, yet on her skin it was crazy.

I think all of their stuff is good. I use the blue and white (there's a few versions I think) and the blue and silver healing ointment. Sorry, don't know how to post pictures or links.
Something people don't realize, if you touch your child's skin, especially if they are bacteria and infection prone, and then stick your hands into a tub of cream, you transfer all the germs to the cream. To avoid the issue, I try get creams and ointment that come in a tube or with a pump. If the cream I want only comes in a tub, I use a plastic teaspoon to get the cream out.

Agree, Cerave!

I havent found that my son has any preference of one cream over another.
I personally dislikes the heavy, thick petroleum like moisturizers like aquafor and Cerave because my hands would get all gooey.
I prefer the vanicream or renew because it is soft and light. The cream goes on faster. The Renew has a nice smell.
But none of those should be good reasons to use the cream..the main reason should be what works best... however, I don't see that one works better than another for my kid. I have tried them all. |
Cerave isnt a gooey heavy cream. I found it to be the most sensitive soothing for my eczema and for my kids. (lots of experience there.)

My favorite cream for anything and everything is ice cream.
Ice cream makes everything better.
Sorry, everything time I scroll through the titles, I keep misreading the tread title as what is your favorite Ice Cream for eczema?
My mind is playing tricks on me, but who can blame it?

Didn’t read through this thread so don’t know if someone’s already said this but I keep seeing this thread and thinking it says “what’s your favorite ice cream?” 🤣
