your baby is so young!
wake every 3 hours to nurse.

worry about sleep training later.

She’s 7 weeks old and I don’t sleep train. However she has her days and nights mixed up. As of yesterday I am trying to keep her up more during the day, last night she slept more than six hours straight !! Is that ok? Or in the future do I need to make sure to feed her?

6 hours is ok for a 7 week old baby. You should only wake her if she's not gaining nicely and not eating well during the day.

As long as the baby is gaining weight normally, why oh why would you wake up the baby!? Unless your Dr tells you that you need to, let the baby sleep.

Discuss with your doctor. Depends on baby’s weight gain

After 4 weeks, I never woke a baby to eat at night.

You want to encourage those long stretches at night.

I might wake up to feed by day, as do not want 4+ hr sleep by day.

Most babies only have one long sleep per day, and I want it to be at night.

If the baby is ok weight most doctors are ok with you going along with their schedule. My baby slept 7 hours at that age and my doctor said it's fine I don't have to wake her. Check with your doctor.

Not at all what we were advised. We never woke our newborn for feeds, they woke us. Unless there are special issues/feeding issues, we let baby sleep (they never do lol)
