For years I have been wearing gold, pewter or silver evening shoes to weddings in the Spring/Summer. I noticed lately that seems to be out of style. What would be more up to date? I don't really want to wear nude patent leather heels as that is what I usually wear on Shabbos and it does not seem dressy enough. But perhaps that is the way to go?

I usually wear whatever matches my outfit. I won’t wear suede unless they’re bright colors, but I’ll wear dark colors like black if it goes with what I’m wearing

People wear nude patent leather heels or black patent leather heels. Or nude any material heels, for that matter. As long as they're light colored, you're good.
