I heard that they don’t wear tznius nightgowns even though the camp list says they should.
Please tell me what to buy for dd in 7th grade.

Loose fitting pajamas or regular and walk around with a robe. This is what the girls I know who go there do.

Like pajama sets or leggings and t-shirt?

Loose fitting tees and leggings or yoga pants. Some girls have pj "sets" and one or two do wear nightgowns but don't make your child be that one or two.
What does your daughter sleep in at home?

My daughter wears leggings and tshirts. They are strict bout the leggings. She keeps a pajama skirt right by her bed which she slips on when she gets up or out.

Sounds very inconvenient to have to put on a skirt every time the girls get up.
At home my girls wear cotton ankle length nightgowns from Jewish companies. They have older brothers and this way they feel covered and still comfortable. They do own leggings and tees but they find it easier to just wear nightgowns most of the time.
I don’t want my daughter to stand out of course. If she wears the pajama sets does she still need a skirt over?

I don’t think your daughter will stand out. What she wears is not a thing there. Why don’t you send her with both and she’ll wear what she feels more comfy in.
There will be girls that age wearing nightgowns.

This is what my girls did in CBY. No big deal to slip on a long slinky when they get out of bed.

My dd also wears nightgowns at home. She wouldn't dream of wearing regular pj's. Is she going to be embarrassed in camp?

Nobody at CBY wears a robe on top of pjs.
The girls wear t-shirts and leggings and slip on a skirt and sweatshirt to walk around. They will have a talk with your dd to remind her if she breaks the pj rule and walks around in plain leggings.

I used to get short sleeved tshirts at 5-below or Walmart that had cute graphics or quotes written across them.
Link to 5-below shirts so you can see what I mean: https://www.fivebelow.com/cate.....-tees

Dunno if things have changed since I've been there 4 years ago, but most girls wore pajamas.
Random t-shirt with leggings. They don't really like leggings so we would all dive under our covers when the director walked in.
They do try to create an atmophare promoting tznius in the bunkrooms which would include covering up out of bed, or wearing a nightgown.
From what I've seen, in some bunks it becomes "cool" to wear nightgowns - if a bunch of cute, geshmak girls do it together. In other bunks (esp. younger ages) the girl may be ridiculed.
It also depends on how confident your daughter is in this sense and who her bunkmates will be.

I asked my DD's. They said there were different bunks, different types. Some were the type to wear nightgowns and some were not. So yeah it can depend on the bunk.

Thanks
I guess I’ll send one nightgown
