Does anyone know if a good inpatient program in New York for a chasidish teen with newly diagnosed mental illness?

Would you ask relief or amudim?
I'm not a fan of any organization (personal experiences) but they did help me with information.
Don't expect the emotional support you deserve. Just a matter of fact call.

Sudden onset mental illness always makes me suspect Lyme or pandas or AE. I would want a very very complete medical workup by an informed neurologist before going down the psych route

My niece spent time in Westchester as a teen.
She's doing very well now B"H. Not Chassidish but very frum BY-type.

I know people whose mental illness got so much worse because of the time they wasted going down this route, rather than getting fast treatment.

FYI - Covid has caused psychiatric disturbances in people who were previously fine - especially anosmia Covid. Please don't delay by testing for other things!

They put off treating a mental health condition and were on antibiotics instead. Altered certain chemistry in brain.
