I’m not so good at replenishing kids clothing… pjs, socks, undershirts, tshirts. Etc and then they understandably look worn out - but my question is how come when I finally get around to buying new stuff they look worn out after a few weeks.

What is the trick to having not worn out clothing. Except buying clothes every few weeks.

I wash these items after every use on a warm or delicate wash & dry for 60 minutes on low heat 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wash everything in cold water besides for underwear and only underwear and socks (not tights) go in the dryer. Everything else gets hung up.
What detergent do you use?

I’m using tide. Maybe using too much?

Also do cold cycles really clean

I have a top loader for years, I once moved into my sis house for a week where I washed my kids clothes in her front loader. Undershirts looked like 100 yrs old. Good rugby with white Collar turned grey and extremely washed out. Could be her machine washes too good? I also add vinegar to most of my dark loads, helps with keeping color and removes street smell

1. Wash in cold water
2. Hang or lay flat to dry (no dryer)
3. Do not use Tide for dark colored items (or add vinegar to keep the fade away), use something more gentle like Persil.

Always use liquid detergent. The powder is like washing your clothes in sand.

Honestly, Amway makes the best laundry detergent ever. (I do not sell it.)

I wouldn't really reccomend it, but I haven't had reliable acssess to a working washing machine for the past year. For a year, I've been doing almost all laundry by hand. I hang them to dry. My clothes get cleaner than they did in the machine, and have never been in better condition. If only it didn't take so long...

I find that tide washes out and fades color. Also, hang everything up. No dryer. If you need to dry, dry for a few minutes.
