My 12 year old started complaining abt headaches, nausea and weakness. When he went outside, he felt better. Usually, evenings the headaches were worse. Some mornings, he didn't have a headache and went biking for several miles but then came home weak.
This has been going on for about 3 weeks. Dr. took blood and urine and said everything looks great, don't google anything, don't worry and it'll probably go away.
I am freaking out.
Anyone have any calming ideas?
Thanks

Check his eyes. Also is he eating normally? Too much or too little sugar or water

Thank you Simcha2. The dr. did recommend having his eyes checked which we did. The eye dr. said he has a lazy eye and recommended we go for some lazy eye therapy asap. When I asked if it might relate to his headaches, she said she can't know but maybe.
does that even make sense?

Thank you mimom and teachkids!
I don't think he drinks enough water, but nothing that would stand out.
Abt vitamin deficiencies or wheat sensitivities, how can I know/rule them out?
He has add and has been taking zahlers teen focus. Can that have anything to do with it?

My ds did vision therapy, it definitely helped with his headaches and nausea (he had double vision) and so was essentially"travel sick" frequently. When I get migraines I get nauseous and my emg shows weakness.
But definitely check out other stuff too

Allergies? This time of year they can fill you up and give headaches, nausea and weakness.

I had terrible headaches also as a teen. When I went off sugar and gluten they pretty much disappeared.
Do you have a good allergist/nutritionist who can check for deficiencies?

Many kids get headaches when they start going through puberty.
My DS had frequent headaches around the age of 6 or so. Got him an MRI. BH BH BH all was fine. They went away after some time
I am always dehydrated and get headachy - make sure he drinks.

I had terrible headaches as a teen that were fixed with glasses. I needed a relatively low prescription in one eye but the discrepancies between my two eyes made me strain my eyes causing the headaches.

Thanks all! I asked the dr abt an MRI and she said it's way too premature and they'd laugh at her for recommending it so soon

Definitely makes sense!! I know when my prescription goes up because I get tension headaches from straining my eyes.

My first instinct was "mold". If he feels better outside, that's a pretty good indicator.
Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your house?
Either way, you should probably get an inspection done.
