Brick reservoir
Manasquan reservoir
Cattus island - I like that you end at the water
Mantaloking bridge - just don’t go down to beach. Beautiful views

Lake Shenandoah (off of Clover Street) is beautiful and usually empty.

Allaire state park has nice trails
Deep Cut Gardens in Red Bank, but its a bit of a drive from Lakewood.

I came here to post exactly this. It's only about 25-35 minutes, and the view is gorgeous. There are benches with flowers all along the way.

Allaire state park has very nice paths through woods that I love - spray for ticks. Not really a lake.
Dukes gardens - further away. More walking through old gardens. Not a lake.
