Hi all, I will be flying with my 2 year old in a few weeks and am having a very hard time finding a mask that fits him. He’s pretty small. He hasn’t worn a mask at all until now and I would like to start practicing. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I take the thinnest single poly mask and tie the ear loops in half so that it doesn’t fall off. You can also buy special kids masks but they are much more expensive.

She’s still going to need a mask for him. He literally needs to be wearing one to enter the aircraft

I bought these from target, but tied an extra knot in the ear loop so it fit. I have a friend who has the same ones and she ties a piece of elastic between the ear loops to go around the head which helps take pressure off the ears. That might work better for a longer flight. Definitely practice with your toddler before travel day and bring lots of snacks to use when your child needs a mask break.

Thanks! Will try those links. I found that the face part is huge on the kids masks. Besides the loops.

I wish! I’m traumatized by some of the stories and feel like he needs to be able to wear it as much as possible until we’re in the air.

Maybe a face shield will be easier for him?

Make a tiny hole in the mask and slip a lollypop or pacifier through the hole.
I heard someone sewed the pacifier through the mask, so that there was no openings
around the pacifier.
Have two such masks.

Can you ask a local medical supply company or pediatrician office?
