Dr Kohenbash from Williamsburg

I got his name in regards to PANDAS treatment

But when I called they said he is an expert in Lyme (though he does see PANDAS too)

Since my son's issue is not Lyme, should I go for strep PANDAS or try someone else?

Thanks

If he is willing to treat pandas and somewhat literate, it is worth it to see him. The connection between pandas and Lyme is that they are both infection related inflammatory disorders and often involve chronic infections. For what it’s worth, many many pandas kids end up finding Lyme and coinfections underneath their pandas, and treating that is what finally gets them on the road to real healing that sticks. Even those that didn’t start out suspecting Lyme at all. So can’t hurt to have him do a complete workup, including for Lyme.

He’s the only one who will do the testing you want for Lyme/pandas. Bedside manner? Eh.

I don’t think he tests for pandas, but he is lyme literate and will test for Lyme and co very thoroughly

He doesn't test ASO titers? I thought he did but ai could be mistaken.

Im not sure but when we were looking into him we were told not to say we’re suspecting pandas, just that the kid is having recurrent strep and we want to rule in/out Lyme as an underlying factor.
