Which container keeps strawberries freshest in the fridge?
How long do they stay first day fresh (average)?

You need to keep berries dry for maximum storage. How long berries last depend on the berry when you bought it.
I buy berries from a grower and the woman taught me the best way to store berries. I layer them in a deep bowel with a paper towel between each layer. This absorbs the moisture and prevents the berries touching each other. My berries last much longer when I do this.

Thanks I heard about using paper towel.

Open because you want air to circulate to prevent a wet environment. I don't typically put a paper towel on the top layer - but that is moot because generally they get eaten.
I had a large plastic bowl with a flat bottom that I got on amazon - I used it for other things but it was very good for this purpose as it didn't have sloping sides so it was easy to do the layers
