I'm at a loss. I've followed pretty much every trick on google, but even after I take out the garbage, my kitchen garbage bins smellllll. I tried washing them out, leaving baking soda in, leaving smelling soap in... Nothing doing. There's always a small layer of smelly water at the bottom over the baking soda, even though it doesn't leak when I take out the garbage... Please, any tips for me?

There shouldn't be leaking liquid. What sort of bags do you use? More importantly, how do you dispose of liquid when there's some left in a cup or cereal bowl or pan of food?

Like poster above said...
I use Kirkland garbage bags, take out the garbage everyday
I NEVER put liquids straight in the bag. Regular liquids get poured in the sink, grease and oil always put in a zip lock or plastic bag before going in the garbage.
I rarely have to clean inside my garbage can.

Does anyone know of a service in Brooklyn that cleans garbage bins?

I second that about Kirkland. I’ve tried every brand out there and the only garbage bags that don’t leak are the Kirkland ones. It’s literally the only reason I have a Costco membership.
