If you were getting a meal, what extra would you like? Probably making meat/rice or something like that, but want to send something extra to make it seem more caring. Should I send precut vegis? A cake or choc chip cookies? A soup? I have limited time so can't do a lot but want to send something extra to make it feel nicer.

The family has 3 young kids, what soups do you think they would like the most? We like potato/corn, egg drop, and onion, but our kids are not huge fans.

I’d prefer fresh fruit to soups and most my kids don’t eat soup.

It’s watermelon season, you can’t go wrong with a watermelon cubes!

If they have young kids please skip rice. My littlest kids make such a mess trying to feed it to themselves and it makes so much more work for me to clean up after the meal.

Soup. It takes a few minutes to cut up fruits and veggies but a few hours to make soup. Soup can also be eaten separately the next day. Maybe I'm partial to soup though.

I'm not a fan of soup during the summer. Watermelon or any cut vegetables are good. Biscuits are easier to eat or hand out while holding a baby than cake is.

If there are other little kids at home I try to do cut up veggies. Like cucumbers and peppers etc.

I don't like desserts like cake because then I eat it and feel guilty. Where I am trying to lose weight, eating cake!!!

soup is really nice. I agree with another poster that it may not be as appreciated in the summer, but I would enjoy.

cut up fruit is amazing!!! After birth, I'm not interested in a messy activity like that.

Salad. Fiber is the one thing I can't get enough of after delivery. Kids like it also.

Disagree. My little kids love rice.

Mine do too. And I don't mind cleaning up rice in particular. It doesn't stain clothes so I'm happy.
