Have you ever found them with a hechsher?

I like fresh so much but they end up going bad in the fridge. I use canned if I'm desperate.
I'm wondering if frozen would be more like fresh, but I don't see any with hechsherim.

Frozen would taste just as bad as canned, IMO. Puke

Plan your menu, and buy mushrooms a day or two before you need them.

You could also buy a bunch of fresh mushrooms if you find them on sale, and then dry them in your oven. Make sure they are really crunchy dry all the way through. Store them in a ziplock bag in your freezer, and then you can just rehydrate them or toss them into soups. You can also powder them in a food processor to make instant mushroom broth and seasoning.

(Can you tell I love mushrooms? I go through a couple of containers a week. 🍄 )

When I got mushrooms that I wasn't going to be able to use, I cut them up and froze them. I throw them, still frozen, into dishes that are being cooked and they're fine.

When I'm feeling ambitious, I roast them with onions & freeze. The problem is, on the day I place my order, I'm feeling ambitious. But sometimes the next few days not so much...

It takes time to clean them (well, much less time if you do it when they're fresh)...

I get them frozen from Whole Foods. Not sure where you live or if there's one near you.

CRC app says frozen mushrooms are acceptable without certification.

I think they're only good in soups and stews. They're still kinda waterlogged to be good roasted or sauteed.
