My baby has been waking up like every 1-2 hours at night screaming. He’s 5 months. I offer him his pacifier and he pushes it away and screams hysterically when I try put it in his mouth to stop him crying. I tried nursing so he latches for a bit and then he’s off. Only thing could calm him was rocking him over my shoulder and only once he was half asleep offer the pacifier as he wasn’t alert enough to resist it. What could it be? He usually loves his pacifier

Something in the mouth? Look inside you might see pimples or spots.

Sounds like teething. It can last for months even before you see any actual signs of teeth coming through. Try giving him a dose of Tylenol and see if that helps.
