This week we've been
Sifting through rubble
Trying to find
Some sort of struggle
Some form of life
Some form of strife
Yet, despair rings
Endless pings

This week we mourn
All the lives taken
Tragedy happened
So many forsaken
How the building collapsed
Why we ask?
We may yet never know
The reason

Father, can you hear our cries
Please wipe the tears now from our eyes
Have rachmanus on your children
We want to return home again

Families torn apart
Mend the tear in our hearts
Console your am Yisrael
Give comfort to your nation

This week has been
A turmoil of emotion
Jews from all over
Showing care and devotion

We've come together
Hoping and praying
Never giving up hope
Never straying
