Don't you know that there is a rule that no one is allowed to post about Pesach until after Chanukah?

Those who are machmir don't post until after Purim, so as not to upset others.

LOL Wink

Who makes shehakol on potatoes?

I grew up with my family using potatoes. DH insists on using something green. He prefers parsley but he's ok with celery and one year his aunt put out green pepper for him.

I've heard of one rabbi who uses a banana as an object lesson to remind people that the bracha for a banana is ha'adama.

Why are we talking about carpas in July?

I use raw onion because it’s quicker than cooking a potato, and I don’t need more work before the Seder and both are acceptable according to the minhagim I follow.

Who wants to eat a raw onion, especially when you're not eating anything else for a while to get rid of the taste?!

Nope, my family only eats rutabaga if I hide it in a soup or puree. That won't work for carpas.

Bobov chassidus hold that the Bracha on potatoes is shehakol.

I refuse to say more in July. This is outrageous.

not bobov and we make shehakol on potatoes.

Someone should start a spinoff for easy dairy menus and cheesecake techniques for shevuos.

Not just bobov. Satmar definitely does too. There was a poll about this.
