Bh we'll be going to e"y very soon
We are israeli so we can get in...
We havent made a kiddush yet for our DD shes 6 mo kah
I would like to make a kiddush in e"y by my in laws as we dont have any family here....
Is it rude to ask my mil if I can host it by her? it wont cause any extra cooking on her end as she is cooking anyway
all of our siblings/in laws are coming over for that first shabbos we're there so I thought it would be a nice time to get together...
its been hard for us missing brissim, vorts, weddings this past year. I thought it would be nice to get together as a fam

I don’t think you should surprise her with a kiddush, tell her and take charge of the desserts.

Some people don't take well to surprises, even really good ones.
I'd tell her and let her help you with all of the planning.
Does she have cleaning help? If not, pay for her to have a cleaning lady come in after Shabbos and do all the tidying up so that MIL can rest and enjoy the baby.
