I live in a country that has strict and severe restrictions. Recently our covid cases have dropped significantly. there are almost no cases anymore in the whole country. There hasn't been a single case in the jewish community in months. Almost everyone is vaccinated. For us, Covid is pretty much over.
However the restrictions that the govt puts on us are so extreme and severe that I can't handle it anymore. I wish there was a way to talk to someone in charge and say look you can relax a little bit, we dont have to be so strict anymore.
They have no plans of relieving restrictions any time in the future, because of the fear of the varients coming in and spreading. so no hope of an easier future.
just venting.

I'm sorry. It must be so difficult. Are they planning on easing restrictions soon?

In most of Canada, most restrictions have been or are being lifted.

Canada still has many restrictions
Yeshivas are not allowed to start in Elul. They have to wait until public schools start. Some yeshivas are starting in America in September.
I spoke to someone in Canada yesterday who was desperate for a simcha dress. She said many stores are still not open.
Sleepover camp was not able to open in agudah Toronto.
Can you have weddings or bar mitzvahs like normal in Canada. I thought not.
Limited capacity in stores. They still count when you enter and exit and there can be lines.
It’s far from life as normal.

Canada is a vast country.
In Montreal, schools and yeshivas have been open all year b''h.
Regular shopping. Today, the last restrictions on store capacity were lifted.
Weddings can have 250 guests.
It's been a tough year, but we are b''h practically back to normal.
