OP, I am so sorry. It really is heartbreaking. May the money you lost be a kappara, and your new home be 100x better. 
I know that you're not supposed to wish ill on a fellow Jew, so I'll just say that I hope their next door neighbor likes to play rap music at full volume at 3 in the morning.

I'm sorry, that's really frustrating. We were on the other end once, when a buyer backed out, and we eventually sold the house for 50k less. But in the long run, it didn't matter. Sometimes you just have to file things under @#$&! happens and move on.
