Libi לבי

Edna

I am considering both but would like to know if they have some special connotation, considered weird or too old school, would put us into a certain circle etc.
We are OOT JPF.

Edna reminds me of Edith, who as far as I'm concerned is between 100-150 years old. Libi is cute, I assume it's a nickname for Liba?

No, it is how I spelled it "my heart".
Liba is a yiddish name.

I really like Edna and feel like it could become this cool resurrected vintage name, but the risk is very big that it won'tSmile
Edna, because I wanted Eden but dh thought Edna is a better version.

In Israel Edna is a very old lady's name.
I'm pretty sure there's a story about a cow named Edna (a bit like Daisy the cow in English).
Like Mitzy the cat, it's Edna the cow.

Eden is pretty. Totally out there where I live, but maybe you can pull it off! Honestly, I don't like the whole vintage name thing because then it'll go out of style and you'll be stuck with a Shirley or Meredith who hates their name.

Thank you! It is very important because I am never aware of such things.

When I was little there was a television programme with a witch called Evil Edna. I've never liked the name since.

I know a few Libbys. Older and younger. I think it's a beautiful name.

I like Libi. I'm DL in Israel. Just be warned that the name is fast gathering popularity so may be the "Noa/Maya/Tamar" of the next generation (all nice names but super super popular). Also, I've seen it written לבי but ליבי is more common.

I don't like Edna. I do like Eden though. Adi is kinda similar (but in Israel is super popular). Adiya is very rare and I love it. Alma has a similar sound and I don't like it, but I have heard it being used for young girls. I don't particularly like Adina, but it's used by the very frum and not as old fashioned.

I have a niece called Adiel, also rare. She is normally known as Adi (or Didi).

I know TONS of Libi's (DL and chareidi-lite in Israel) very very popular.
I don't like Edna at all. I would change it to Eden.

I know a super cute 4 year old Libby (Spelt this way). Her name is Libby not shortened from another name.
Her parents asked their rebbe and were told it was a good name.

Sorry, I dont like Edna. To me its an old grandma name. Like Aunt Edna. Or that Australian male actor that had an alter ego of Dame Edna.
Eden is a much prettier Jewish girls name in my opinion compared to Edna.

If you like vintage there's always these that I've heard used recently
Lillie (Leah?)
Millie (Malka/Milka?)
