NYU had a great program I am not sure if they are still running it.
There is also Darco coaching which is run by a frum NYU trained coach.

Life coaching is not a real thing. Anyone can be a life coach in the USA. It is not a protected term. My 6 year old can call herself that... you cant call yourself a psychologist or marriage and family therapist or social worker without meeting certain standards. But life coaching isnt a protected legal term.
It means nothing to have taken a course. Because the courses have ZERO licensure capability or requirements. They can teach what they want, how they want... there are no ethical or legal guidelines to practice as one. There are no supervision or training minimums. No tests for licensing.

Please post helpful things instead of criticizing the op for wanting to take a life course.

Try https://becomea.coach/ which is run by the ICF, which is the gold standard for life coaching. And yes they have ethical and legal guidelines. It’s not government regulated which is why people should make sure to only use ICF accredited coaches.

It is useful to know. Some of the courses out there promise certain things, outcomes, careers etc.
They do no such thing. Take any course you want but there is no educational standard and you shouldnt be diagnosing people, treating mental health issues.... so many people assume it is a quick way to be a therapist and they shouldnt pay tons of money for a worthless certificate that has no outright value. Go get a masters in mental health counseling if you want to do real therapy.
Plus I know so many people who were harmed by life coaches. If you need a little guidance on feeling fulfilled- fine, see a life coach. Not if there is anything deeper- trauma, childhood issues, mental health, addiction, couples issues...
Plus they have no ethical or legal obligations so they legally can just blab to the entire shul, announce your issues at a school dinner, or take out an ad on the front page of the NY times. They might say "oh I take confidentiality seriously" but if they slip- they didnt violate any laws. Or might think it is ok to tell your husband X to "help you".

Is there a life coaching course you would recommend? And what does the pricing look like?
