Hi, can you help me? What is an appropriate, nice way to respond to an email with a job offer that I don't want to apply to. Can you tell me what to write, both in a formal situation and a more informal situation. Tia!

Thank you, I don't want to write focusing on other opportunities... COuld I say it's not going to work for me? Ah that's too vague

Yup. You can say “Thanks for thinking of me, but I don’t think this role is the right fit for me right now. Best of luck in your search!”

Thank you for the opportunity, but I've decided to move in another direction at this time. Good luck with your search.

Is this a job offer? As in "we are offering you a job doing blah blah, at this salary, and these benefits"?

Or are they inviting you to interview?

The invitations to interview are usually automated, and don't require a response. If they are more personal, just say that you appreciate them thinking of you, but its not right for you at this time. Invite them to send you other opportunities in the future.

For an offer, follow VintageBkNYC.

Thank you for your offer I really appreciate it however at this time it won’t work for me. Thank you again for your time.

You can give a reason if you have one or just leave it at that.
