First time-
I’m lost.
She’s 13
I bought her a plastic 3 small drawers.
It’s not really enough space because the drawers are small but it will have to do. She’ll have to use the cubby space provided in camp.
I bought 3 small storage containers.
A duffel bag.
Body wash
Shampoo
Toothpaste
Toothbrush case
2 bathing suits
Cover up
2 piece terry robe
Linen set
Goggles
About 7 skirts and 9 tops for weekday
3 shabbos outfits she likes - 1- shabbos outfit she doesn’t like so much
12 pairs socks
Lots of underwear
Weekday sneakers
Shabbos shoes
Slides
Natives
Towel
Deodorant
Pads
Little pouch to keep her pads
Laundry bag
Mesh bag for laundry

We need to buy nosh and food like cereal and noodle soup
Conditioner

How do I pack her things??
Can I start a week early?
What else do I need to buy?
I’m so nervous to send her but I don’t want her to know that….

I sent my 13 year old to camp .
It wasn't so hard to pack her up, although it does make a dif which camp your sending to.
The camp I've sent my daughter to has literally no cubbies or closet space.

I sent her with 2 sets of brown weave drawers and 2 duffle bags.

Does the camp have a suggested packing list? Something else to keep in mind-- are you sending luggage on a delivery truck prior to camp starting? Or does your dd take it up on the bus? Different camps do different things and it may impact when you want to start packing.

At 13, my kids packed themselves for camp with supervision. We use one giant rolling suitcase plus one oversized shapeless bag. All large items, linens, shoes (in bags), toiletries, hard items, etc go into the shapeless bag. Toiletries get double ziploc bagged. Linens and towels get rolled and clothing gets folded into the suitcase.

When you start packing depends on how much extra clothing your dd has that won't be packed, and how often you want to do laundry.

Drawers
Top drawer - underwear,bras,socks
Middle - t-shirts
Bottom - skirts
Cubbies - pajamas, towel, linen, sweatshirts
Double bag toiletries. Send shower caddy to hold in camp.
Plastic containers - small items like nail clippers, flashlight, creams, etc.

Funny- that’s exactly what I bought- 2 brown weave drawers. She wasn’t sure she wanted to bring plastic drawers all together because she heard that not everyone brings them in this camp so I was going to send one but it’s really small and I don’t think she’ll be able to manage.
I bought her a 36” duffel bag.
Not sure how to pack skirts and shabbos clothing.

Very helpful- ty
I just don’t think putting skirts in a drawer will work for her. Is that what people do?

Hanging stuff on hangers laid on top of duffel bag at end

You can put in pjs instead of skirts

In the 2 sets of drawers= 6 drawers.
She stacked them on top of each other and she sleeps on the top bed in camp.

In the drawers I put bef. She went to camp
Underwear in the first
Socks and shobbas tights in the second
The third I put flashlights and extra
Toiletries they keep in a bag near the showers
The next set I did t shirts in the first
Pajamas, and the bottom swim stuff..

Linen and towels are kept on the shelf on top of the hanging clothes..

They can always switch around the drawers as needed.. which Im sure my daughter did..
