ISO recipe for yerushalmi kugel

Looking for a recipe for traditional israeli style yerushalmi kugel.
The one that has black pepper, not the sweet one with raisins.

Yerushalmi kugel

Take 1/4 c oil
Put in very big pot
Add 2 1/4 c sugar
Put on medium- high flame and don't stop stirring 5-10 min till brown and caramelized.
As soon as it's brown immediately pour in 8 cups of boiling water
Bring it to a boil
Add a package of noodles
Let it cook on high till kugel consistency
Take it off the fire
Add 1/2 c water with 1 T salt and 2 t pepper
Let it cool
Add six eggs quickly stirring in between


Cook on 350 1.5 hours

I use the Kemach or Manischewitz egg noodles- comes in a few diff types- thin spaghetti type or flat fettuccine type. Use one 10-12 oz bag.

Be very careful when pouring the water into the carmelized sugar! It will steam up and can easily burn you. So pour carefully!

Yerushalmi kugel:

1.5 cups sugar
7 cups boiling water
3/4 cup margarine
2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp pepper
18 oz thin egg noodles
3 eggs beaten

Melt sugar, stirring very often till liquid and brown.
Add water slowly, being careful not to let steam burn you. (If I didn't boil enough water, or it didn't boil when I was ready for it, I just add whatever temp itis and it just takes a bit longer to reboil)
Bring to a boil. Add margarine salt and pepper. Add noodles and cook 10 minutes. let cool 15 minutes. Add eggs. Mix well. pour into 9x13 pan. Bake 350 45minutes-1 hour-or until set
