If you're looking into schools and options back in America then you're living with one foot out the door. It's very easy to be dissatisfied when living that way.
I understand a change of community is not what you what to hear, but I have an example for you. A dear friend was living in Yerushalayim for many years, nearly two decades, and was feeling an underlying unhappiness. She was convinced she understood the city, having lived there so long, and that it just wasn't for her. But due to necessity she had to move yet couldn't leave the city so she moved to a new neighborhood and suddenly her entire outlook on the city changed. She realized she was boxed in by the communities she had lived in before, and suddenly she started feeling at home in her new community in a way she had never experienced nor expected.
Israel is so varied and even with a SN child there are so many options. If staying would be the best option for your other kids, then at least see if you can find a new community where you can better fit in.
