Will my wig look normal when I get there? Does it get ruined on the plane? Will it ruin the Sheitel or just the style?

I put mine in a shoe box. But I guess it depends on the style of your wig

It will get flatter and shinier, depending on the wig style that could be a good or a bad thing. When I had a curlier wig I purposely kept it in a ziploc bag. It definitely won’t ruin the wig though likely will flatten a set.

I’ve done it a bunch on times, style wise it was ok, but it often made my shaitel staticky.

I do it all the time, based on advice I got from my sheitel Macher. You just have to make sure the hair is very carefully positioned (laying flat) when putting it in the bag so that you don’t pull it out and find hairs are sticking out in every direction

I put a dryer sheet in the ziploc bag with the shaitel.

I heard it was extremely bad for the hair because it causes electricity and the hair strands to get frizzy and puffed out. You didn’t receive a silk drawstring bag with your sheitel purchase???

I didn't. I have a sheitel box. I thought that was the only option! Who knew.

It is funny. Everyone does different things. But silk or satin is s very good way to store or schlep a sheitel. It doesn’t create the static and keeps the hair breathing while protecting from dust/sun
