My husband has HCM and I'm wondering if he should get the second dose of the Covid vaccine. We called his Dr's office but the secretary said the Dr does not give out Covid vaccine advice and says we should speak to a Covid vaccine specialist.
All the online research says he should take the vaccine but I'm wondering if any of you Imas have experience with HCM and covid.

His dr. is a cardiologist and won't pasken? Wow. He should know of someone accessible whom his patients can call. Did you get any recommendations? Any way to get in soon?

Have they done studies on people with this condition? If not, what is the basis for assuring you it's safe?
Without data, they can't know.
I'm assuming your dh's cardiologist is afraid of going against the party line by stating the above.
