I bought it Sunday and the butcher has just put it on the shelf
I never noticed from other stores that chicken smells
Not terrible smell but something

If you bought it Sunday and it was in the refrigerator since, it could be it went bad.

I would try rinsing it and see if the smell goes away

If the smell doesn’t go away after rinsing in cold water then it’s most likely spoiled.

I rinsed it and it definitely helped, the smell wasn’t nearly as strong
Like I had to really smell to smell the odor of that makes sense

My daughter prepared all the capons already
Should I empty the stuffings and rinse them?

If you bought it Sunday, you should cook it tonight. Raw shouldn't stay in the fridge more than 2 days.

You can do that but mark up the frozen bag/pan with a note that it needs to be cooked as soon as it thaws.

Ok, will do! Thank you so much everyone for your advice, I’m really hoping I am not making a mistake by using the chicken
Strangest part is only the legs and capons smelled
White cutlets were perfect, no smell at all
