He is 6 months old. Born in Tehran and brought to Canada by folks who understand that Iran has no animal protection laws.

We are having a harder time naming him than our children!

His name is currently ’comma.’ It’s only been a few weeks for that name since he was prior a stray. He joins us mid august.

In discussion now are: kenji, koby, Cody, digby, kimchi…

Suggestions welcome.

Wait until you meet him. Then it will be clearer what name suits him.

What kind of dog is he?

I like COMMA. Or Karma Chameleon, Comma for short.

What color is he? As far as I'm concerned all white dogs are Snowy a la Tintin.

Google the most common/popular dog names and stay away from them. Speaking as someone who inherited two dogs with names in the top 5.

I give my pets the names (in English) that I couldn’t give to my kids. Just names I like but wouldn’t fit in our family ( only Hebrew/Yiddish names). For example: Matilda-Tillie for short, Blossom, Maisie. For a boy, maybe Max, Filbert, Elliot, etc. have fun with it!

I'd name him after someone I have no respect for, though that might be unfair to the dog.

I usually name my pets after cartoons. We used to have a bird Tweety and a cat Sylvester.

Kofi, after Kofi Annan who was a protector and peacekeeper, a vehement critic of Iran and its policies. Thus giving homage to the reason why you bought him there to begin with. Also because I may have been little when he was head of the UN, I think everything went downhill after he left. He was an outspoken critic of the UN human rights watch and questioned their credibility back then.

His tenure was marked by cravenness, corruption, and cover-ups. He was in charge of U.N. peacekeeping in 1994 but dismissed warnings of an impending genocide in Rwanda. Annan's apologists might cite a narrow definition of his bureaucratic mandate, but they ignore his decision to not inform the U.N.Aug 20, 201

I can’t because my Persian Muslim dentists daughter is named that and we are family friends! We talked about Darius but a) their son is named that and b) we thought it might be an awkward dog name!
