When I order Greek salad at a restaurant or salad bar, the feta cheese is light and soft, but when I buy it in a container in the grocery store it's hard, crumbly and tasteless. I tried buying a sleeve of goat cheese, but I can't get it to crumble to way feta does.
Any ideas of where to find yummy, soft feta cheese that crumbles properly? Any specific brand you like?

I find the "Gad" line of cheeses to be generally okay and widely available

Your post says Gad but the picture says Ezra's. Are they the same?

Tnuva sheep's feta cheese (vacuum packed) is the best. (Don't buy the container that's marked light - it's too salty. The cow's feta cheese that's vacuum packed is also not as good. )
Hold the block over an empty bowl and pinch together until it crumbles.
If you prefer, you can grate it for softer smaller shreds.

Pastures of Eden is the best. You can find it in Wegmans and some kosher stores. The second best is Tnuva sheep (not cow milk in a tub).

Pastures of Eden. It's Cholov Yisroel too.

I buy it at Wegman's but haven't seen it at Trader Joe's for years.

I like the Tnuva sheep milk. It comes in a tub. It’s super delicious.

I also like pastures of eden.

In Israel, they use the name "Gad." I guess they switched it to something more market-friendly for sales abroad.
