Which business. Also, if you did, was it worth it. Or did it take away from the joy

Yes, I do and no, it did not take away from the joy.
I teach art.

yes I did. I don't want to give myself away with more details, but I made a business from my cutting machine. It does get overwhelming and tedious and sometimes I want to stop but its worth it for me financially to continue.

I did. I don’t regret it but one thing I’ve learnt is that people can be very rude. you need major boundaries and even then there will still be the odd one who will take advantage of you.

Yes. I am a kitchen and residential designer, and also sell kitchen cabinets. I did space planning as a hobby for many years, then as a hobby/business, and finally as a real business. It's my passion and I am BH very successful doing a job I love.
It's great for self-worth when others recognize your abilities — Getting paid for doing something you love does not diminish the joy.
I am also fortunate to be married to a CPA. I have much less mind-numbing paperwork to deal with than I would otherwise.

I didn’t simply because even though I’m in my 40’s I still don’t know what my hobby is. I’m not working now and would probably enjoy doing something that I absolutely love. I envy the people who love what they do.
