My daughter tested positive last week Monday. Today she said her taste/smell seemed week. Most articles I saw said taste/smell issues are usually one of the first symptoms but she is almost done her quarantine.
Anyone experience this symptom late in their course of covid?

I guess you didn't read enough articles then.
It's definitely a symptom late in the game or even after one has "officially" recovered from covid.
Sometimes it comes on a month or 2 later.

I tested positive a week ago and started experiencing this over shabbos. I just hope it doesn’t last too long! I’ve already tested negative again…

Normal
And it can come back in a few days or take many months.
My 11 year old daughter is finally starting to get back her sense of smell after 9 months
