Does anyone know what size backpack (dimensions) is suited for a 3-year-old? I want it to fit her arts and crafts and sheets comfortably. Thanks.
Does this size sound right?

The one I just bought my 2 year old is 8.3 x 3.1 x 10.2 inches and it looks a bit on the small side but she can't carry any bigger

That's small. It's fine is she doesn't need to carry full sized papers that aren't folded.
The biggest you can get is 10 x 15. Like the gap junior backpacks. I loved them for kindergarten/pre1a. But you may not want to get that size for nursery.

Mine had one of the junior LLbean sized backpacks (has used it from age 3-5 and will use it again for this coming up school year). Website says the dimensions are 14½"H x 11"W x 6"D.
The one you posted looks pretty small. As a teacher it was annoying when kids had such small bags because it was hard to fit in papers and projects- especially if there's already a lunch box and anything else that needs to go inside.

Pottery Barn Kids makes great backpacks. I think their size small is perfect for preschool age.

What does child take to playgroup everyday? Lunch, drink?
Diapers and wipes?
Or is it just for projects?

I ended up taking her to the store and trying on. I found something in the perfect size.

I like a bag that they can use for multiple years so I get something like this https://www.thenorthface.com/s.....a3g9e
Its a great size for pre school/nursey/pre1a. After 3 years they start 1st grade I get something larger. I also use it for camp and it holds the swim suit, lunch, towel, sun screen really well.
