Time sensitive. I need to decide what to do with entrance hall walls in a private house.

Whats super practical and elegant for entrance hall walls?

Ive had cloth backed vinyl for many years and Im tired of wallpaper.

Whats "in", elegant, super practical, hides stains and scrubbable without affecting texture and leaving marks?

Scrubbable--
Some finishes of paints are washable and scrubbable. Research it. I'm not the expert
